Anyone know what the insurance premium would be for a 17 year old female driver, hertfordshire. Just passed her test?

"Fronting" is illegal, but her premiums will go down if older drivers are put on her policy as named drivers; I know this because I've just done it with my daughter's. A "Pass Plus" or similar can put the price down, as can accepting restrictions on use. Be wary though of black boxes if other people use the car - it's unlikely that an experienced driver will keep to the speed limit all the time, and the box doesn't know who the driver is.marcros":3qlffpef said:yes it is possible, but the insurance companies are very aware of this, and may refuse to pay out if they are aware that the daughter is actually the main driver. 15 years ago, we got away with it. how they would know is a different issue...
One of my neighbour's sons is a named driver on his mothers policy, although it's his car. Living near the pointy end of Cornwall, if he has an accident near his college in Suffolk he may have problems.marcros":sxfvu9am said:yes it is possible, but the insurance companies are very aware of this, and may refuse to pay out if they are aware that the daughter is actually the main driver. 15 years ago, we got away with it. how they would know is a different issue...
