I have been with Riaz for motor insurance, no claims at least 20 years plus. no tickets etc.
Cheeky b ug gers want 10% increase this year to £198 for a Mazda 2. and inflation is supposed to be 0% this month.

Anyone getting those lower quotes advertised at £160 or are they only come ons?

Or with who?

I managed to knock @ £100 off both my son and daughters cars this year they are now paying £180 £190 with QUOTE ME HAPPY perviously with Admiral our other cars still with Admiral both under £120 Just renewed last week

I was paying more than that forty year ago.

There's no loyalty in the insurance industry devonwoody :(

When I get the renewal notice I use one of the price comparison websites like www.moneysupermarket.com plus I ring around to any adverts sent to me via the banks, supermarkets etc. Often you will get a lower quote that way from your existing insurer because you are a 'new' customer. However if the company is new to me I also trawl the internet for any reviews of that company just in case I've got to claim

Regards Keith

My mate has just had his car fixed after a prang ( this is when you find out how good they are!) and he says e sure where hassle free

Yeah but you were a high risk then ask someone who is under 25 what they pay

Woodchip, your link worked. £147 plus legal cover. Thanks. (Lloyds Bank)
That's good news plus Lloyds Bank are supposed to be very good when settling claims.

Regards Keith

The other trick with insurance is after you have found a good price on one of the comparison sites is to see if sites like quidco are offering cashback if you buy through them . I found a good price for my car insurance today through a comparison site then found that I could get £35 cashback from quidco.

Saga for me. Two cars, separate policies, total under 200 quid.
Both fully comp 1.8 litre Peugeot and 2 litre Ford.

They quoted me £208 for one car two drivers no problem answers unless they did not like my age perhaps.

Finished up- with Lloyds £173 and printed my own insurance certificate on the web.

I see you're sorted now, dw. I was going to say avoid Liverpool Victoria who are rip-off chiselling cowboys and recommend Hastings who are very very good. Oh, yes, avoid Churchill as well.

Hastings quoted me £1700 for my van insurance. Eventually bought cover from One Call Direct for around £720.
