Mother's day

I made this yesterday for Mother's day out of some Ash I received recently in a bag of off cuts from a joinery firm next door to where I work.

It's supposed to be egg like - it being near-ish to Easter and to symbolise birth etc.

EDIT - It's about 4" high.

It took about 4 hours in total although actually I spent 2 hours of that sanding as it was ever so slightly off centre- spent 45 mins sanding,sanding sealer etc before I realised and then spent the rest hand sanding it.

The most fiddley bit was the jam chuck for the lid.

It's at my Mum's house now, I could ask her to take a photo.
