More new pieces

Well you asked, here are the picture of the Piece that some of you saw at the bash also a bit of info on it . The Body is Chestnut, the top and bottom are from a piece of hard wood window frame and the center in the base is Purple Heart.The inlays are brass and copper

I lie the inlay in the mounting recess. Seen this a few times now and keep meaning to have a go myself. Lovely way to finish the bottom off. The lower part looks like it has a carved area to it in the photo.

Thank you Terry for putting this piece up,but i feel the piccys aren't doing the piece justice.
It is a very nice piece,that is well turned and finished,inside and out, but is much better when seen/held if you know what i mean.
