ML8 Drive Prong

I've just set up an ML8 I bought a few years ago. It came with the Planer & Circular saw atts, and I've acquired a Bandsaw unit for it. I've only just found out, it's got no drive prong for ordinary turning! Can anyone help me, to let me know what / where I could get what I need?

According to this useful thread https://www.ukworkshop.co.uk/forums/myford-ml8-what-is-the-headstock-morse-taper-t26381.html your lathe has a no 1 Morse taper, so a drive centre is a very common standard part available from your preferred supplier. As an example, here are suitable drive centres at Axminster - just choose the right taper option when ordering

according to http://www.lathes.co.uk/myfordwood/ the ML8 has a 1MT (morse taper) fitting, so any of the available drives size MT1 should fit e.g. http://www.axminster.co.uk/crafts-hobbi ... ve-centres
just search tinterweb for terms like 1MT (drive, spur, 2 prong, 4 prong, steb centre, etc)

You may wish to consider a Stebcentre - they are not cheap but are very good to use
