There I was, leading the bidding on a medium Veritas shoulder plane, with a maximum bid much higher than the current leading bid, when the seller withdraws the listing with over 3 days to go. :evil:

I know it would probably have gone to a much higher price than I'd have wanted to pay, but that's not the point - I might have gotten lucky.

Ho hum, I feel better now after that :)
 
because alot of people send the sellers messages asking to buy out of auction.

i must admit im one for asking for a buy it now price.

Is the seller breaking the rules if they do sell out of auction? Naive view I know but just curious :shock:

Nothing wrong with a seller quoting a buy it now price though :lol:
 
he is yes, if they wanted to set a buy it now price then they should.
its more expensive to add a buy it now price to the auction.
cant really get annoyed with the seller as they can sell there item however they like. but it is a bit annoying. its happened a couple of times to me.
