Advice would be appreciated.
I helped a friend move house last week and in the process the lady of the house moved a table causing a monster of a scratch on the newly laid antique style oak flooring....ouch.
I've promised to go back and sand out the scratch but it's matching the finish that's giving me sleepless nights. It's about the most flat, matt super non gloss look I've ever seen. It's actually close to looking like there is no finish at all in fact.
Anyone have any idea what it might be please? Or what should I do in any event? I have considered just leaving it unfinished but that just feels wrong somehow??
