Has anybody tried the Makita budget Site tools:

Are they any good? Worth the money? I'm sure you know by now this isn't for me. If it was I'd buy the most expensive I could find. It's a present but I want something which is half decent.

you will find the makita site range is old stock blue makita, just a red body. good kit for the money.

Cheers for the info. Thankfully I held out for another day as my bro told me on the phone that his girlfriend had bought a Makita (not site) cordless drill as an early christmas present.

Very tempted to get one for myself though, especially at that price.

I've worked with a few people who've got them. As someone else says they're the same as the older blue models, only red - but the other difference is that they seem to have have a cheaper, slower battery charger than the blue models they are derived from
