Hi all,

My circular saw adjustment on bevel is about 5 degrees out, which basically means I can't cut square with it.

I've had a look for an adjustment screw and nothing is obvious, is this just not adjustable?

Help!

What model is it?
I guess it has a stop some where you might have to epoxy a shim to get it to 90deg.

Or use a square to set it to 90drg.

5704r, the 90 degrees is adjusted up to that point so in theory I can't get any further as the slot stops at that point

That's the one with the pressed steel base, I would check its flat, a drop could bend the plate.
If it is flat you will need to reduce the length of the slot somehow.

I have the 5703 with the cast base plate, mine goes to 90 nut the saw was at an angle to the base making cuts against a fence wander.
I had to file one side of the motor mound and add a washer to the other side.

Thanks Pete I’ll check the bed plate out first, otherwise I’ll be filing !
