I have been asked to make this profile. I was thinking of doing it by just taking material off step by step with the table saw, then sanding to get the curve.

I’m sure a router bit would do a better job however. Does anyone know where I’d get one of this form?

Alternatively any advice on making it through another means?

Thanks

Edit - I should have added - my router table houses a 1/4 inch trim router. I do have a 1/2 inch router but I’ve never actually used it and it remains in the loft!

I don't know why I had made this so complicated in my head :dunno:. I realised I could just use a roundover bit and a fence to stop it at the appropriate distance.

I had a go on a scrap test piece today and it worked fine, I will do the proper work one day next week.

Don't make life hard, use a router. The obvious is not always obvious though and it can be handy to have some drawings of the profiles you have cutters for in a CAD package and then these can be manipulated to form other profiles. This is what I did when I needed a built up profile for some bathroom paneling.
