As you may be aware

Dad is in hospital fighting the big C

So to hopefully cheer him up a bit I made him a pen as the old bic Biro run out of ink

Took it in for him and he was pleased as punch :p

He shows it to the man in the next bed who calls me over and asks if I can make him two pens , one light colour and one dark :lol:

so here they are , what do you think ? , will he like them ?

Its my first commission for making pens , and they sold them selves , good ay :p

They look great Blister. What wood is the second one? What did you finish them with?

I tried a pen this weekend as well. Will take some photos tonight.

I " think " the second one is tiger maple

finished to 800 grit . sanding sealer , then Hut high gloss pen polish

they look great blister, they should sell easily. I have a couple more pens lined up, 2 days off now, so off to the cabin i go.
hope you and dad are feeling better..

ps, is the dark coloured one also a slimline kit, or a comfort without the grip???
