airflow of my Record rsde1= 53 litres per second
airflow of my sip extractor = ?????????

Manual of Scheppach2500 says saw requires 20 m/sec.

Can anyone please convert or advise on above figures.

One is volume the other is velocity, you will need to know the pipe diameter to work it out, smaller the pipe the higher the velocity for the same volume of air. Will still probably block up when you plane wide maple anyway

Adam.

337 m per second equals x60 for a minute x 60 for an hour =

Help, will there be any oxygen left in the northern hemisphere when I turn on.?

if there are 1000lts to a cubic meter then 53 lts must be 0.053cu mts?

for 100mm pipe 3.142x0.05^2 =0.007855?

So 0.053 / 0.007855 = 6.75 meters per second, sounds more like it.

Now wheres that man witth the jet engine extractor to confirm my calcs :D

Doh! a gremlin crept into my calculations!

I didn't put the brackets round the 50mm squared in google, so it did (pi x 50) squared, not pi x (50mm squared)

Jason is correct.

Adam you are forgiven .

But to be honest I was truly scared to turn the extractors on in case of oxygen starvation when I did my calculations/
