Can someone please tell me how I can link to another site without putting in the full http://www......... in the post. Some forum members seem to manage this "behind" a word or phrase in their posts. I have tried to find guidance, but am perhaps searching for the wrong thing on the forum.

TIA

go to the full editor to reply. click on the URL button, and fill in the URL and text that you want to display inside the tags. Have a play and preview the post- you should then get the hang of it.

Like Marcos said, but once you have clicked the URL button, move left so that the cursor is inside the first URL tag, ie just before the right hand square bracket - ]. Type an equals sign = and then paste your URL. Move to the right so you are typing between the square brackets ][ and type the text you want to appear as your link.

I thought it might be html - i.e. as per http://www.echoecho.com/htmllinks01.htm but that doesn't work. So I'd be interested in knowing how, too.
