Lathe chuck reducers

I will need a reducer for my new (old) lathe chuck.
On the new lathe the thread is 1 inch x8 tpi on my chuck its 3/4 x 16 tpi.
Will there be a reducer or do I need to buy a second chuck.
Hope I have explained it okay.

Have a look on your chuck manufacturers website. There will almost certainly be an insert to suit your new lathe.

When the dust settles from my wife after spending money on a second lathe I will pop down to Axminster shop as its only 5 mins away from me, I looked on there web site as recommended and for about £20, cheaper than a new chuck.
