I knocked up some "shelving units" out of MDF and think they may actually look good as cupboards with birch-ply doors and veneered outside.
I've seen some self adhesive sheets of veneer but not made a thorough investigation. Does anyone have experience of using the pressure sensitive stuff in large sheets, mine would be 4' by 2'. How easy is it to use, what are the different woods like and where may be found the best value? I'm looking at about 52 square foot in a light colour.
