laminate trimmer

looking to buy a laminate trimmer does anyone have any recommendations

It depends on what you are wanting to do with it. I looked at and was tempted by the makita at the midlands show yesterday. It is all singing and all dancing but came in at £204. I left it because I am doing a bit of turning now so it wouldnt see much use for a few weeks or months. It felt a nice machine though and appeared well made.

I should add that I can't remember whether they call it a palm router or a laminate trimmer. It is the rt0700cx5 I think.

I have the small Bosch palm router. It cost me around £100 from Screwfix a year ago. I find it very handy for edge routing etc - it's light and very easy to set up. There's a bundle of extra kit that goes with it but I have just the basic model.

i want it for use on mainly on kitchen worktops islands with radius ends but would also use it for edge
routing
