Does anyone know how easy it would be to remove the cast iron table from a Kity 619 for transport?
Is it just a case of undoing a few bolts and lifting it off or are there complications?
Thanks for any info

I just looked at mine it looks like its just bolted through ....I left it on when I collected mine although its a 2 man job to lift on and off the van.
I have an original sliding table and heavy ali runner which will go on ebay soon if you are interested.

Thanks guys, I was concerned that maybe the motor hangs off the underside of the table but from looking at the parts diagrams in the manual it appears not.
I don't have a van, just a large estate car so I'm hoping that with the table removed it should be easy enough to lay the saw on its side in the boot.

Worth considering is somebody like anyvan or Shipley. I have just had them send a startrite down to my father the price was a little more than the fuel for the round trip would have cost me but saved me dismantling it, loading it and a couple of hours of going to get it. It doesn't work in all situations but has its advantages. I also used Shipley to fetch my kity because I was going away with work the following week and was running out if time. Again, if I factored in my time (I know that we don't always do so for our hobby) it was cheaper than using my landrover to fetch it. Your estate car will likely be a lot less thirsty!
