Kity 1629 spindle moulder periodic maintenance?

The rise and fall mechanism is starting to get a bit stiff but for the life of me I can't see how/when or where to get to the mechanism other than undoing the top and lifting out the 'incredibly heavy' table with motor et all still attached. Or maybe you undo the bolts and tip it over then get a body-builder to lift the base off ?

Anyone done this?
