My neighbour has this kitchen wall cabinet and it does not sit level with the ceiling (in an alcove), he was going to take it down and try refitting the hangers to make it level.

I said the fitting might be a self leveller, (just wind the screw and perhaps it climbs up ?) or am I dreaming?

Possibly a kitchen fitter here knows this sort of hanging bracket and can advise?

There should be 2 screws accessible. One of them raises and lowers the unit, the other one moves it in or out from the wall.

You may need to back it away from the wall with one before raising it up with the other one (take the weight off the unit as you raise it)

+2

but as said, slacken it off first and try adjusting both sides. IE lower one / raise the other

Thanks all, its inside an old kitchen chimney breast, so hopefully it was finished off square. Might use a car jack and a bit of timber to do the raising.
