Jet 1442 lathe help.

I am waiting on some grease and a grease gun to arrive in this SLOW post. I was advised to grease my lathe regularly with Oregan chainsaw grease. I am not sure what & where I need to grease. Can I ask any Jet lathe owners for a bit of guidance with this task?

Hi Dermot,

I've had a 1442 for 5 years and have never used grease! The only area that needs a little occaisional attention from a bit of light oil is on the spindle where the pulley moves over it. While you're at it give it a good old blow/suck out with a hoover and air line. Otherwise it's pretty much mainainance free!! There certainly aren'y any grease nipples to use a grease gun on.
