Jarrah Veneer

During my workshop tidyup I've come across a packet of Jarrah veneer. Some of the pieces have a split, and others are "wavy". I know nothing about veneer - is this normal, or are these pieces only fit for firelighting?

Nope, that stuff is about 99% usable. Have a read about how to flatten and joint veneers and off you go. Though most of it looks like you could use it straight away with a bagpress or similar

@TheTiddles - Thanks! TBH I've never had any wish to go down the veneering path, so I doubt I'll hang onto them. I'll probably try to work out a way of offering them up here in return for a donation to charity.
