Is this too good to be true

I spotted this at Screwfix and thought it looked like a good machine for the price:

Does anyone have one or know anything about it?

Am I reading that wrong or is it really a 110 volt saw?:shock: If it is how did it end up in the land of 220? :?: :?:

Inspector: 110v is used on building sites here.

Its cheap because the width of cut is really low.

If you wanted say a 305mm width of cut you would need the bigger ls1013 which is around £430 and this is the more popular model hence the price of that one at screwfix.

Fair point about its capacity but I think it would do for most things I would need it for and I have a radial arm for bigger work. I just wonder how accurate it would be?

Looks pretty similar to the LS1040. Nothing wrong with the LS1040. I used one for a couple years as a site saw. I bought a reconditioned one, it was light and portable, and once set up accurately, stayed accurate. I resold it for more than I paid for it!

This saw got a good write-up in British Woodworking a few months ago.

If you've got a decent table saw/radial arm saw that would handle wide cuts then, yes, I imagine something like this would be a great buy for you. You wouldn't have to keep re-setting the RAS for compound/mitre cuts.
