ipod sound dock

Can anyone recommend a good one? It doesn't need to be a radio as well.

It needs to have a decent volume capability.

Channel 5's gadget show did a review of them a while back and I thought they liked it, but it's not on the website...

I looked into getting one of the docks for my ipod and then realised I could play it through my existing stereos once I got the right cable.

I do that, except in France where I use an iMac with speakers. Works very well, but not very portable.
My son has just bought his mrs a battery-powered dock, which he is very pleased with, but he's chugging round Norfolk on a narrow boat this week, so I can't ask him what make and model.

Yep - a cable with a headphone jack on one end and twin phono plugs on the other end connected to the auxiliary sockets on the back of our hi-fi did the trick for me.

Connects straight to my stereo. The only bad thing is that it's got no on/off switch.

We already have cable connections to our main stereos - its just that we wanted something portable.
