I have five doors to fit from scratch.
I have quite a few nice brass hinges, I was planning to use.
then thought about how useful over the years (In our current house ) rising hinges have been. They ride nicely up and over carpets and if you need to remove the door for some reason you just lift it off rather than having to unscrew.
any thoughts?
opinions.

Rising butts were a boon in my old house. The living room door was right by the front door, and grit walked in on peoples' shoes would get trapped under and scrape against the laminate floor.

Changed to a pair of rising butts, and that fixed the issue.

They're a bit more fiddly to hang than regular butts though.

Do it, I would if I were doing a scratch fit. Be prepared for a little maintenance to keep them working well though.

Edit: Just seen you already have experience of them so ignore that last bit.
