Following on from the other thread, i couldnt find a way to do a poll on this forum so please just say what saw you'd go for given the above circumstances.

If money was no object ..... obviously I'd buy them both :lol: :D

with my little knowledge, I'd go for festool. I just have this block about DW being black and decker !

One thing to consider is that, UIAM, the DW only has short rails. Yes you can join them, but a single 2.4m rail is infinitely better than joining two shorter ones together.

I have the Festool. When I bought it, I got a second rail with it. But it was always a pain trying to join two together and maintain absolute linearity.

When I got a 2.4m rail I cut up one of my 1.4m rails, so I now have convenient lengths for any size job.

I've not used the DW so I can't comment, but I am happy with my Festool purchase.
