It's not finished, but I made a niddy noddy. Nothing too taxing, nor too big. It felt good, but I am in absolute agony now. No foties yet either because I forgot to take my camera down to the shed.

Golly it felt good at the time. :D

It's glued Pete. It's in a cramp at the moment. The body has a 10mm tenon on each end glued into an 'ole. It's for a friend, so I'll find out whether the measurements I found on-line were any good after she winds a skein round it.
Should I perhaps use some domed brass screws as well? Belt and braces kind of thing?
 
I have done them and glued as you have then drilled through the arms into the top of the main shaft and inserted a thin metal rod as a backup. Usually I have to post them though so make them and post them as three separate pieces but include a little pot of cascamite with them. Because of the shape the cost of P+P constructed is ridiculous.
