How to make room in my PM folder

I have PM's I can'tread because it say's my folder is full. How do I make room or delete older messages?

Select the messages you want to delete by ticking the selection box on the right of the message heading.

Then go down to the Action Selection box at lower right and select Delete.
Then click GO.
