Hot melt glue

There was a query here a while ago on the use of hot melt glue to hold stuff on the lathe while turning.
It must be remembered that this is a low strength tack but used with this in mind and with care can be an effective solution sometimes.

I've lost my hot melt glue gun somewhere so I used double sided tape for a project yesterday and it worked well. Some small bits of adhesive left after removing the tape came off easily with some thinners. Must sort out that glue gun though!
