hi folks i am trying to build a unit and what i would like to do is hide all the hinges and and catches.

i want the front of the unit which is 1800mm long look as if it is one solid front but has 3 doors which open by pushing the side of the doors.

hope this is clear, in summary what i am looking is some sort of concealed hinges (not kitchen type) and sprung push catches

many thanks

jon

Hi

Know what you mean, we've loads of those magnetic push to release catches on board our boat. Think ours are made by Hafele although I'm sure Blum do them too. Not sure about the hinges though.

The blum push to open pistons that you drill into the carcase are quite neat and just a small metal pad that sticks to teh door.

If you don't want kitchen type hinges then SOSS hinges are the likely choice.

You could try pivot hinges at the top and bottom of each door, they can still be seen (slightly) but very discrete. Hafele do some good ones. The Blum push to open mag. catches are very good.
