Thought I'd say a quick hi
Browsing the site a lot and learning loads but its unfortunately fueling my desire of things i'd never even heard of a few months ago, tablesaws, bandsaws, pillar drills
I had a few tools, an old bosch 1/4" router, power planer, jig saw and some hand tools left to me by my Grandad recently. We wanted a small kitchen pod unit making for our van and I decided to have a go myself so we could run it for a while before paying a VW cabinet maker to do the job at about £1000 ! So I've made a good stab at it out of 12mm ply and i'm really happy with it, it'll never win any prizes and it will never be up to any of your guys standards but I'm really proud of it
So thats it, its started me off ! I'm now planning a wendy house build and some other garden toys for my daughter, currently making a router table and then the wife wants a nest of tables for the living room and a new kitchen  One thing I have noticed is how much wood costs ! I'm lucky that I get any steel I want for free from family but my god a sheet of good ply costs an arm and a leg !
All very easy planning it as I'm in structural design working on Cad & Revit but the skills need will take some time on the practical side  Please dont get too upset with my stupid questions
I'll post some photos when I hit the post count limit
