Had one of those drill stands became whatever you wanted to configure it to * in the late 1950's and only passed it on to someone else about 4 yrs ago.
I had a large drill with it (Selecta 4000?) made my little Black & Decker look like a toy, used as the power source for many of the attachments, had a Planer attachment, might still have it, know I've seen the drive pulley recently.

* know the table was used with the saw attachment to make a circular saw combination because I caused a stir in Bramley Rd, Tewkesbury when using it to trim the roof timber of the garage I built and folks had not seen the like, only little attachments like the Arcoy or for B&D Drill.
Was also the workhorse when making of the doors and windows.

I have to say Charlie, you looked rather dapper back then in your specialist woodworking uniform. Can't work out what the tool your holding is for though. Is it some sort of lost part detector/finder?

Yep. and a future sand and cement mixer and better half helper when I was building the Kitchen extension, fortunately it was raining and it did not want to get rusty the day I mixed the concrete for the foundations so did not have to keep fishing it out of the trench, it was bad enough cleaning the blue clay off it when it helped dig them out.
