Hi all.

While I'm not newly registered, I am a new user.

My dad is a retired joiner, other than that I have no background in woodwork other than DT at school, 16 years hence!

My interest stems from youtube videos, and thinking "I can do that", so I'm having a go. BTW, mostly the videos on woodworking are American, I wonder if this means I've unwittingly picked up US-only terminology no one in this country gets. (Rabbet is a good one!)

There are some british videos on youtube. As to the terminology Dado = groove. That will be the important one to remember and to avoid getting your head bitten off. :lol:
