Good evening guys,

I’ve just received some new planer baldes for my SIP 01550 P/T and they are 5mm longer than the stock blades, I’ve dropped them in place and evened them up so a 2.5mm overhang (outside the block) either side.

Before I go ahead and attempt to set them, is this a bad idea? I’ve rotated the blades by hand and they are not catching on anything (I’ve spun them 10-15 times to double check).

Don’t won’t to start the machine if I’m missing something??

Thanks in advance guys

They'll be fine. My normal ones are like that as well.

Thanks Steve and thank you for the YouTube guide on setting up the blades...watched it tonight and solved my snipe issue after my first (failed) attempt at setting up the blades =D>
