Help required regarding Dewalt DW712

Hi,

I am looking for a new SCMS to replace my Performance Pro and after reading the forums etc, I am considering the Dewalt DW712 which seems to get good reviews (apart from dust extraction) and is within my budget (approx £300).

Can any of you existing dw712 owners do me a favour and measure how much worktop it takes up depth wise when set at 90 degrees.

22" absolute minimum to the fence. 23" would be better. Then from the fence to the tip of the locking handle 17 1/2".

Hi,

Thanks for the sizes, these things are always a lot bigger that you think.

I may need to down-size a bit or think about re-designing my workshop.

I also considered the DW707 which I think is smaller but I don't know if it can do trenching cuts ?
