Hi everyone,

I am making some candle sticks on the the lathe and need some cups to put in the top (To hold the candle)

I would normally go to Craft Supplies but they are out of stock and the Hobbies people don't seem to have them either. Have tried a couple of woodturning supplies people but no joy so far.
:x
This is getting a bit urgent now since some of the candle sticks are to be a birthday present and the date is looming, any ideas anyone????????

Hi Losos, if you have a boat/ship chandler out your way you can use brass canvas eyelets. They come in all sorts of sizes, just throw the ring part away and use the "top hat" looking section. Usually a lot cheaper than purpose made candle cups, you can buy them in boxes.

Thank you Gill, Pete, Tam

It's always gratifying to find the extent of knowledge on this board, and as Pete said that's a great tip from Tam. :D :D

Although it's a landlocked country they have some mighty big rivers and thousands of lakes so sailing and such like is popular here.

Will try to post up some piccies of the finished article sometime.
