I know i am going over old ground , i have done a little research , and come up three extractors in my price bracket
if you could give some help on choosing between them they are
1 Draper 40130 45L 1200W 230V Dust Extractor
2 RECORD POWER RSDE2 EXTRACTOR
3 CamVac GV286-4 36L 2000w Compact Extractor with 4" Inlet
I only have £280 to spend
I will be using for band saw ,table saw , compound mitre saw , routers, hand planer, biscuit jointer , morticer, and sanders
sorry for putting you through this again , but any help will be much appreciated

i just had a idea , what if i buy 2 Record Power DX1000 Dust Extractor 45L, 1000W which cost 120 each and i can have one permanently
connect with the 4" hose to the bandsaw and the other for power tools
so i would in affect would have a two motor 2000w set up without changing hoses all the time and still come in cheaper than the two motor
camvac gv286-4 making a saving of 40 quid , sound like a plan 2 me/
help please

I can recommend this: http://www.axminster.co.uk/axminster-ho ... tor-501264 unlike the 2400watt vacuum like the Camvac I had on it previously, it clears everything from my planer, saw bench, router table and band saw, the vacuum is used for the sanders and biscuit jointer, its more efficient at removing smaller particles not the large particles from the other machines.

The link I posted is to a chip extractor that will do what you want for £280.00 did you see it?

In that case you need a vacuum extractor not a chip extractor these are normally designated as LVHP (Low Volume High Pressure) with a small inlet, get something with a bag inside otherwise you will expose yourself when emptying, have a look at the Karcher range, this is a reasonably priced vacuum with a power outlet on it, you plug you dust making machine into the port on the vacuum and it turns on automatically when you start the tool and keeps running for a few seconds after you switch the tool off to clear the hose, there are lots of other units that do this, but more expensive.

Link: http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/home-appli ... 9-pdt.html probably cheaper elsewhere.

Note this will not effectivly take chips away from your planer, you will need a HVLP (Hight Voluum Low Pressure) machine as I linked to earlier.
