Hegner Top Feed

Hi all

Does anyone know if it’s possible to too feed a Hegner scroll saw and if so how is it done, I.e. what extras do I need to get to do it?

Blister, judging by the thread title Stuart wants to know if you can top feed the blade through the wood on a Hegner.

Interesting idea but....
No matter what model of Hegner you have, the top arm is limited in movement by the suspension damper peg. It's there to almost catch the top arm at the rear when a blade comes loose or snaps.

You would need to grind or cut this off in order to lift the top arm high enough to bottom feed the blade through your workpiece.
I don't think it would be successful or even recommended to remove this part. Also the rear tensioner spring will likely be compromised and no doubt need modification of some sort too.
