It's fine if you know the exact CD number. Actually that is another gripe with Amazon. When they set up their database they decided not to bother with the unique CD number. So if you hear a piece on Radio 3 that you like, the good old BBC will give you quite a lot of detail including the number. Stick that into Amazon and it's a waste of time. Entering other data fields such as conductor doesn't always give you the right CD either.

As I said, Google is fine if you know the CD number. But if you didn't know it and the piece you are trying to track down is a frequently recorded piece of music, say, Eine Kleine Nachmusik then even with the conductor you'd probably be struggling. Also Google results get clogged up by those awful 'site of site' merchants. You could stick in 'dog tu*d' and these wretched sites would jump up and down saying 'I've got this...I've got this'.
