Ok, m'laddows(and maybe some ladies)
I need to pick your brains.

I have some copper tape and its going a bit green, ve been told its coz its reacting with the air.Can i just store in in an airtight container or do I need to take more drastic action?

The green is called verdigris and it does happen because of the air,
storing in an airtight container is probably your best bet. I can't think
of any other suggestion's, good luck!

Forgot to ask,is it bad for me if its on my fingers and i accidently ingest it.
I wouldnt do it on purpose.Should I immediately wash it off?

I wouldn't worry about a small amount of it.
In fact, copper bracelets are worn to ease arthritis, and it is the verdigris that is supposed to help!

Hi WW
Don't worry about the green 'verdigris' as mentioned before any small amounts should do you no harm (try to avoid licking your fingers 'tho :) )

In addition to an airtight container, some of thoses little packets of moisture absorbing crystals might also help. You know what I mean, they come in little cotton packets with some electrical goods.

Do you have plans for making something out of this copper tape :?:

you can of course use all the old remedies.

a/ cola "the real thing", or the other one.
b/ brown sauce, or even some vinegars.

as has been said before a little verdigris is no problem to the body,
but when not in use, an airtight box has some value.

I just got some microscope slides, I put a transparent picture between them, put the tape around the edges then solder it all the way round then solder jump rings and hange charms, swarovski stones from them.
Ive only made one so far, kinda perdy but still got to practice more.
