Whats going on with em lately ? Just reading through a few unread magazine's and there seems a few mix ups with pictures -pictures have nowt to do with the article. Ive just read another one and the pictures also seemed really pixely. Doesn't it get checked before going to print :???: Time for a change me thinks. Off to find a magazine shop to see what else is available. Then to dig out the subscription details ......arghhh :-|

Not one I take as I find it a bit basic and the projects often clunky, but I am sure that like all of the UK mags, it is run on a shoestring. I take Furniture & Cabinetmaking which has very high standards of photography, but it all depends on taste and where you are with skills. I am sure someone will be along soon to tell you all mags are a waste of time, but I still enjoy reading them.

Even in the short time I've been reading Good Woodworking it seems to have gone downhill and the only reason I got the last one was so I could have a hard copy of their review of my bandsaw.

My electronic subscription to The Woodworker which I got when I needed to read a backissue with a review of my planer-thicknesser ends soon and I won't be renewing.

I like British Woodworking and Fine Woodworking and have now subscribed to both.

I take BW too and enjoy the eclectic mix of contents. I used to have FWW but stopped it for two reasons, its cavalier attitude to safety and that, from a design point of view, it is so resolutely backward looking, no doubt reflecting the tastes of its US readership.
