good offer on lathes

Hi All
just heads up ive just had a email from Charnwood woodworking they are reducing /discounting their lathes on the open day on the 15 Aug ! I think I will be hot footing it down there to take a look !
ive been looking around latly to up grade and them being on my doorstep .
I have not heard any bad reports of the Charnwood lathes !

Is it just lathes being discounted? I was eyeing up one of their bandsaws

Yes they have offers on their bandsaws and other items !
I will have to have a look at the jet lathes they do look good
i think Nuneaton is the nearest store for me !

hi all just a update ive ordered the Charnwood w870 lathe at Charnwood open day they had to order it as they run out of stock on the day !
by the way that was my 1st woodturning / woodworking show I ever been to, and I loved it !

I went to that too. Maybe we rubbed shoulders.
It was ok ish
If you thought that was good you are going to really enjoy a "real" woodwork show.
There are a few around the country but I can't be bothered to travel these days.
I may well go to the Newark one next year though....... June time IIRC

The best one if you want to travel is cress well barns ........ someone will be along to give you the correct details
