The house across the road from me is having a lot of restorations done including new windows and l was allowed to have the old frames

This about half of frames that I had
After cutting off the waste to get the best size using the bandsaw I put it through the thicknesser and ended up with this

Now comes the problem what to make with it.
I just couldn't see it going to be burned. It will probably be used for making small tables and jewellery boxes as I have made before
Wish me luck Alan

Nice..... !
love a bit of reclaimed wood. The older stuff is often much nicer than new.
Local auction houses are a really good source for quality hardwood. I often buy old oak furniture for literally a few quid

Most of what I make is from reclaimed ,burning or landfill would be sacrilege for that timber , I'm sure you'll make some beautiful things and get enjoyment from the process

To fill, or not to fill...that is the question.

All looks very much like my supply, think I'll likely be making splines sometime for the same,
should it be perfect for something.

All the best
Tom
