hi recently was given a box of old wooden planes inn box was a metal bodies infill plane

the blade is marked i&h sorby with a hanging sheep a crown below sheffield warranted cast steel
the chip breaker is marked i think rob* sorby
with a square nut

the plane is steel will brass bronze lever cap

have pics if any one want to put them up just tried but having no luck

just dont know what do do with it sell it or throw it

Looks good imvho apart from the front infill

Is the iron parallel ? Same thickness at top and bottom ?
Main body crack free ?

iron is thicker at bottom than top

don't really know any thing about the plane just wondered whether to sell or throw

its missing some infill

would it be worth selling

not going to keep it would never use or need it

just curious on value realy

just noticed the lever cap is 2 metals brass? and a piece of bronze ? see pic 3 you can just see it on lever cap
 
Def worth selling, hard to value min £30 plus carriage maybe more unless it has a name on the lever cap then a lot more

Another 4 pictures from you, apologies only this one worth posting. Iron not very exciting since its tapered.

Definitely don't throw it away.

It's a bit of a mess but definitely restorable given the right care and time.

Lever cap looks strange as has been said....mmm.

I would probably be interested in restoring it but as I have a number of projects on the go right now...tempting!

What would you be willing to accept for it...PM me if you like and we can discuss.
