I love making Whirligigs, I have about 6 installed around my property. I only use junk to make them the only new part is the paint and varnish. All of the parts are from recycled materials, for example the propellers are made from old tin shelves from metal shelving and an off cut bit of timber, the axle shaft is bent from an old grill pan holder from our old cooker and various old Meccano bits help with the operation. all timber used is scrap stuff or odd off cuts. Naturally all of the parts are cut out with the fretsaw.

Thanks Scrimper, just shown my missus the videos and she remembered and liked them. Moves it a bit higher up the list.
