I am getting another B&D Workmate. as mine is dying. The old knacker looks to be the same model as yours Bob.. However, I found these plans on the net.

This knock-down bench, serves the same purpose as two workmates in fact and will allow working outside in good weather. I bought the plan (Acrobat file) and am in the process of building one. No vices on it, but that could be figured out I suppose. It's a bit versatile I am pleased to report.

I am danged if I know how to post images here, or I would show its metamorphosis.
