Food Safe Oil

Hi Guys...

I am starting to make more and more end grain shopping boards....

Does anyone know where i can buy bigger quantities of food safe oil... Costly buying 500ml ones....

Has been discussed in another thread but I think the best value food safe oil (mineral oil) is horse laxative.

Have just picked up pint from Countrywide stores that was only £4 and I think they do a 5l pot but didn't look at the price. I reckon most agri merchants would sell it for a lot less and it's all the same stuff..........dom

Personally I would check that it is to BP standard if it is to be used for items in contact with food.

White Mineral Oil - (Paraffinum liquidum) BP Grade, I.e. conforming to British Pharmacopoeia requirements.
