Howdy Peeps......just a quick one really..

Has anybody ever had any trouble getting in contact with the Subscriptions department at Fine Woodworking mag? Infact has anybody had problems contacting anybody at Taunton?

I'd renewed my subscription for another three years in January and thought I'd send them an email, to which they usually reply pretty promptly, to see when I woud receive my next isssue. Its been two weeks now and I've heard nothing back.

It'll be just my luck that I'll go out and purchase the latest issue and the get another one through the door the next morning!

Ok, so, its typical.....I post something to the forum and an hour later I get an email from the nice lady at Fine Woodworking!

""Thank you for your interest in our publications. I would like to
apologize for the lateness of this response. I checked our records and
when you renewed online a new account was created. It started with Fine
Woodworking #190 (March/April 2007) which will take a couple more weeks
for delivery and then you should receive your issues on a more regular
schedule. Your expiration date is February 2009. Since the renewal
skipped over issue #189 (January/February 2007), I am sending a
replacement copy to you. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for delivery of this
copy.

Again, I apologize for the delay and any inconvenience this may have
caused. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free
to contact us.

Good to see everything in order and up to their excellent standards. I guess there must have just been a hic-up in the system.

Hi Simon,

I had an e-mail from Nanci a while ago, she was also very polite and helpful.

I guess they had 'puter probs, such things can affect the best of companies. I know some people have said FWW is not what it once was but I have had no problems with them (Mag. content or admin.) in over three years.
