Has anyone got one of these, an SCG-10 from RTS Engineering for the Domino. Are they as good / useful as they look.? Is there anyone in the UK who stocks them. Thanks Geoff

it doesn't self centre though so you have to set it up each time. Also because I have the "paddle" type Domino they are too far from the centre for narrow rails. Or is there a way of setting it up that I have missed. Geoff

It takes seconds to set up I don't see that you really need the self centering function as it's easy enough to centre anyway. The paddles don't come into it the add on fence has its own guides .

Yes I've got one, once calibrated it's very accurate and very quick. Plus it's interchangeable between the 500 and XL Domino machines as the securing holes in the sole plate are in precisely the same position on both machines.

Is it essential? Absolutely not, there are plenty of workarounds.

Thanks for the replies. I realise that it isn't essential but since getting the Domiplate I think that enhances the machine enormously. The problem with the trim-stop is that it needs centering very accurately each time you use it and if it's 1/2mm out ( easy for me!) it's 1mm out when you shoot the other end of the rail. Also the demo videos show him using it to register both panels in a drawer which isn't possible with the trim stop as you would have to remove it to mortice the sides. I suppose it's a time and repeat accuracy thing really.

Yeah domiplate is handy, I made my own out of some phenolic plastic

I wish I could…save some money. I think you have better engineering skills that me.. Geoff

I think you may have missed something. I have the paddle type too, though I don't think that makes any difference. The narrowest rail I can accommodate is 21mm.
