I have sold my lathe and most of the attachments and most of my turning paraphinale ,
This is because I have great difficulty in stand ing for even short periods and the auld hands
are not as strong as they used to be.This does not mean that you are getting rid of me just
yet/I believe :D I ain't going nowhere until SHMBO says so.
Anyway I went out and bought one of those Hi-Faluitin iMAC 'putters that the IN crowd have
with some of the sale dough .
It can't spell any better than the other wan but it gives me something to conquer (I hope) in my retirement.

I have a few pieces I turned which I may not have posted which I will endeavour to post over the coming
months for your delectation so watch this space 8)
Unfortunly I won't be able to win the overall in the Challenge ,but I will still look fwd to it every month .
I won't be entering anymore
Good luck to all .

Sorry to hear that you have had to give the lathe work best Eugene.
Still it is good you have been able to do something positive about it rather than just leave the shop contents to lie idle.
Hope you can never-the-less keep as active as possible, somewhat worried about the extra thinking time you might have and the mischief that could lead to though.

Looks like you need one of these Eugene...

Lathe Simulator

One likkle problem

Eugene has just changed to a proper computer ( =D> ) and this is Windoze only.

OK his iMac will run Windoze if he gets really desperate but why look back to the primitive now he has moved to a higher plane??

Thanks all for the good wishes ,things could be much worse Although I will miss my turning .
I have 5/6 pieces which I managed to finish off which were a long time in the making and I got
a friend of mine to put the finishing touches to as I could not do it myself .
As soon as I'm set up on me new 'puter I will post some pictures .If I thought me auld one was
difficult to use even after 7 yrs. I am finding this one an iMAC strange but not as difficult as I
had thought it would be. (I think )
Thanks again and talk to you all soon .

Good luck from me too mate! I am sure that you will conker the Mac, but really sorry that you have to give up slippery sloping. If I can then so can you

Sad about the stimulator. I could use that at the moment. Can't even bludie well drive yet and I ain't the best pax!
