I have one that you can have if you collect it! (I am serious, I would like it out of my way)

I paid about £50 I think a few years back. maybe a bit less and scrap was worth a bit more then.

Thank's for the offer Leeds a little to far away thank's i will have to go and have a little look at the machine tomorrow if i can find the time but no i will not pay any where near £400 for it .but what else could he have hiding away lol

There enduth today's lesson
" Seek and you will be gifted"
Brilliant offer, as it happens I was also given mine (although I must say it was not that healthy) and they are great machines to use.
Others pop up from time to time.
Cheers Andy

there are normally a couple on ebay, but I see that there isn't at the moment. I searched under hand morticed and hand mortiser. they generally start at £100 or so and never sell! the value is in the chisels. If it had a few chisels, it might be worth nearer the £100, but certainly no more.

the offer remains if you want one and he won't shift on price. I have never used a pallet courier, but I could get a pallet from somewhere and strap it down. No hurry, I doubt that it is going far anytime soon!

A few years ago I spotted one on eBay which was collection only. It was local to ex-member Condesteeso, who bought it. IIRC it was less than £40 including several chisels.
He kept it for a few years then passed it on through the forum.
£400 is a fantasy.
